Information on entry visas to visit the Kaliningrad region of the Russian Federation

As of July 1, 2019, in accordance with the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation dated May 15, 2019 N 595, foreign citizens of certain countries are entitled to apply on a special website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation http://electronic-visa.kdmid.ru/ to obtain single entry business, humanitarian and tourist visas, issued in the form of an electronic document (“e-visa”) to visit the Kaliningrad region of the Russian Federation. 

The above mentioned countries are Andorra, Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Bulgaria, China (including Taiwan), Croatia, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, India, Indonesia, Iran, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Republic of Korea, Kuwait, Latvia, Lichtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Malta, Mexico, Monaco, the Netherlands,
 
North Macedonia, Norway, Oman, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Romania, San Marino, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey and Vatican.

E-visas to visit the Kaliningrad region are valid for entry into the Russian Federation and departure from it only through the following checkpoints across the State border of the Russian Federation located on the territory of the Kaliningrad region:

- airport checkpoint “Kaliningrad (Khrabrovo)”;

- sea checkpoint “Kaliningrad” (areas in the cities of Kaliningrad, Baltiysk and Svetliy);

- automobile checkpoint “Bagrationovsk”, “Gusev”, “Mamonovo (Grzechotki)”, “Mamonovo (Gronovo)”, “Morskoe”, “Pogranichni”, “Sovetsk”, “Chernyshevskoe”;

- railway checkpoints “Mamonovo” and “Sovetsk”.

Passenger carriers can check if a foreign citizen travelling to the Russian Federation has a valid e-visa on a website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation https://evisacheck.kdmid.ru/.
